Terms & Conditions Due to the extreme unpredictability of animals, Pet Sitters Ireland and our Representatives cannot be held responsible for any unusual mishaps (i.e., pet's refusal to take medication, escaping from the garden, biting, eating or destroying household items, damage to inside/outside of home, personal injury/accidental death). If Client requests pet(s) to have outside access, Client releases Pet Sitters Ireland and our Representatives from all liability for loss, injury or death to pet(s).
Rules relating to certain breeds of dog: The Control of Dogs Regulations 1998 impose additional rules in relation to the following breeds (and strains/cross-breeds) of dog: American pit bull terrier, English bull terrier, Staffordshire bull Terrier, Bull mastiff, Doberman pinscher, German shepherd (Alsatian), Rhodesian ridgeback, Rottweiler, Japanese akita, Japanese tosa, Bandog. The rules state that these dogs (or strains and crosses of them) must: Be kept on a short strong lead by a person over 16 years who is capable of controlling them. Be muzzled whenever they are in a public place. Wear a collar bearing the name and address of their owner at all times. The rules on muzzling and leashing do not apply to dogs used by the Gardaí, the Dublin Harbour Police, State Airport Police and bona fide rescue teams in rescue operations. The rules on muzzling do not apply to guide dogs for the blind.
Client is liable for injury or damage to Third Parties.
Visit times are approximate and subject to change based on the needs of all pets under Pet Sitters Ireland's care. Pet Sitters Ireland is entrusted to use best judgment in caring for pet(s) and home, in the event of an emergency situation, inclement weather or natural disaster. Pet Sitters Ireland and our Representatives will be held harmless for consequences related to such decisions. In the event of injury or illness of your Pet Care Assistant, or other emergency circumstances where duties are unable to be performed, Client authorises Pet Sitters Ireland to arrange for a back-up PCA (Pet Care Assistant) to take over duties as outlined in this agreement. Although all reasonable efforts will be made to provide the agreed upon services, inclement weather (e.g., snow or ice), national emergencies, acts of God, or other circumstances beyond our control may delay or prevent Pet Care Assistant's visit(s). In such a case, Client and/or the emergency contact person will be notified so that other arrangements can be made, if necessary. Pet Sitters Ireland reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time before or during its term if Pet Sitters Ireland determines that the Client's pet poses a danger to the health or safety of herself/himself or others. If concerns prohibit Pet Sitter Ireland from caring for pet, Client authorises pet to be placed in a kennel with all charges to be charged to Client. Pet Sitters Ireland and our Representatives agree to provide the services stated in this agreement in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services, the Client expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against Pet Sitters Ireland except those arising from negligence or wilful misconduct on the part of Pet Sitters Ireland and our Representatives. Pet Sitting Agreement, In the event that Pet Sitters Ireland's representative is injured or his/her vehicle is damaged by my pet(s) while Pet Sitters Ireland are caring for or transporting my pet, I will be responsible for all costs, as long as all necessary precautions during pet walks, or other agreed activities as outline in the Client Personal and Pet Care Profile, or necessary vehicular transportation such as consensual emergency veterinarian treatment, and as far as is reasonable Pet Sitters Ireland's representative has used the correct animal restraints such as: dog lead, travel cages & harnesses.
Key Release. I authorise the representative of Pet Sitters Ireland to use my house key(s) during the time he/she will be caring for my pet(s). If Pet Sitters Ireland does not keep my keys on file there may be a charge of €10.00 to pick up and return them to me. You must provide two sets of keys. One will be kept by your Pet Care Assistant, the other will be held at the offices of Pet Sitters Ireland. Where a secure outdoor key safe is in use the key collection/return charge will be omitted. Keys being held by Pet Sitters Ireland may be securely disposed of or recycled if the Client account becomes inactive over a period of time.
Payment & Cancellation Policy: Unless explicitly agreed otherwise, the Client shall settle invoices within thirty days of the date of the invoices. In addition, invoices issued in connection with the provision of an assignment shall be settled before the relevant assignment begins. Changes in or to an Assignment can result in an adjustment of the agreed fee and/or original planning and delivery time. Any such adjustments do not constitute grounds for the dissolution of the agreement. All prices quoted exclude VAT and a surcharge may be applicable for short notice bookings, weekend, public and bank holiday visits. For example: Saturday uplift 15%, Sunday uplift 20%, Public & Bank Holiday uplift 50%, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, St. Stephen's Day, New Year's Eve & New Year's Day uplift 100%. A rural surcharge may be applied in addition to the service delivery charge, if the location of the task is deemed to be outside of the parameter/radius of the nearest major town or city. (Legal Towns and cities as defined by the CSO.) Rural Charge Band Radius: 0-5 Kilometres 0 charge, 6-14 Kilometres 15 Euro, 15-19 Kilometres 20 Euro, 20-24 Kilometres 25 Euro, 25-29 Kilometres 30 Euro, 30+ Kilometres 35 Euro.
Booking Last Minute: Booking made 36 hours (1.5 days) or less before service is due to commence will be charged with an additional fee at 25% the requested service charge.
Cancellation of Pet Sitting visits: requires 48-hours notice. Clients can cancel the Assignment in writing (email admin@petsittersireland.ie) or by cancelling the schedule on the booking system within your account profile. The Client is required to pay 100% of the fee for an assignment cancelled up to two days before the planned starting date. The remainder of the schedule will be Cancelled and charged at 35%. No refunds will be given. Cancellation of Dog Walking (inc. Quick Break) visits require cancellation notice to take place before 6 PM the day before the visit is due to take place. Where the cancellation takes place before the 6 PM deadline the fee will be credited to your Pet Sitters Ireland account for future assignments. Cancellations for next day after the 6 PM deadline or cancellation on the day service is due to take place will be charged at full price. Clients can cancel the assignment in writing (email admin@petsittersireland.ie) or by cancelling the schedule on the booking system within your account profile. Any credit on your account will expire after 12 months and must be redeemed within that time. Any credit on your account is none transferable against products or supplements and can only be used for Dog Walking services. No refunds will be given.
Online Payments: All bookings are paid online. If you store your card on file, we will charge it automatically two days before your first visit. If you choose not to store your card, you must pay manually before that time. Major credit and debit cards are accepted. No cash or in-person payments. Please refer to our cancellation policy for refund details.

We reserve the right to modify the Services and the Terms and Conditions at any time, effective upon posting an updated version of these Terms and Conditions on this website or on the PetSittersIreland.com website. You are responsible for regularly reviewing these Terms and Conditions. By using the Services you agree that the posting of new or revised Terms and Conditions on the website will constitute adequate and constructive notice to you of any and all revisions and changes. Continued use of the Services after any such changes or after explicitly accepting the new terms upon logging into the website shall constitute your consent to such changes and you agree to be bound by them as of that date of the modification.
